Previously stated measures for entry to the Republic of Turkey have been revoked by our Ministry and the new measures to be followed, effective starting from 15 November 2021 Monday, are stated below:

1. Measures listed below apply to people coming directly from Brazil, South Africa, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan or people who have been in these countries in the last 14 days:

1.1. Those who can document that they have been vaccinated with at least two doses (single dose for Johnson & Johnson) of vaccines that received emergency use approval from the World Health Organization or the Republic of Turkey and that it has been at least 14 days since their final dose at the time of entry to the Republic of Turkey will be exempt from quarantine.

1.2. Those who cannot document that they have been vaccinated with at least two doses (single dose for Johnson & Johnson) of vaccines that received emergency use approval from the World Health Organization or the Republic of Turkey and that it has been at least 14 days since their final dose at the time of entry to the Republic of Turkey:

– will be quarantined in their residence or at the address that they disclose.

– will be subject to a PCR test on the 10th day of their quarantine.

The quarantine will be lifted if the result of this test is negative. The provisions for special bilateral arrangements with foreign countries are reserved.

 

2. For people entering the Republic of Turkey from other countries (by land, air, sea, railway); those who can document that they have been vaccinated with at least two doses (single dose for Johnson & Johnson) of vaccines that received emergency use approval from the World Health Organization or the Republic of Turkey and that it has been at least 14 days since their final dose at the time of entry to the Republic of Turkey and/or who can submit a document by official authorities of the relevant country proving that the person had the disease within the last six months starting from the 28th day of the first positive PCR test will not be required to submit an additional negative PCR/rapid antigen test and they will be exempt from quarantine.

In the case that a vaccination certificate or a document proving that the person had the disease cannot be submitted, a negative PCR test result carried out within 72 hours maximum or a negative rapid antigen test result carried out within 48 hours maximum will be required from people coming from those countries.

 

3. Those who enter the Republic of Turkey may be subject to sampling PCR tests at the point of entry, by the Ministry of Health.

In this scope, people will be allowed to travel to their ultimate destinations after their samples are taken. If the test results are positive, they will be treated according to the Ministry of Health COVID-19 guidelines. Those who have been in contact with people that have tested positive, will be isolated in a location that they choose for 14 days and at the end of the 10th day a PCR test will be conducted. The isolation will be lifted if the result of this test is negative. If Delta variant is observed in these individuals, isolation will be lifted at the end of the 14th day without conducting a PCR test.
