Dimitar Nikolov is a Bulgarian politician and current Mayor of the city of Burgas. He was born on May 18, 1967. He holds an economics degree from the Economics University in Moscow and has professional qualifications and certifications in management from Open University and New Bulgarian University. He also obtained a master’s degree in Financial Management from Dimitar A. Tsenov Economics Academy in Svishtov.

Nikolov has significant professional experience, including serving as the Manager of KBS OOD in Burgas from 2006 and as the CEO of Pobeda AD in Burgas from 1998 to 2006. He has been actively involved in civic engagement and has held various positions, including Deputy Chair of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Burgas, Chair of the Business Consultative Council in Burgas, Chair of the Committee on Economics and Investment at the Municipal Council in Burgas, and Representative of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists for the Burgas District. Nikolov served as a member of the Burgas Municipal Council from 2003 to 2007 before becoming the Mayor of Burgas in 2007. He has been re-elected three times and is currently serving his fourth mandate as mayor. Dimitar Nikolov is married and has three children.
