Özen TÜMER

Özen Tümer has joined EBRD in 2017 as Gender Programme Coordinator. She is responsible for managing the delivery of EBRD’s Equality of Opportunity Strategy and the Strategy for Promoting Gender Equality in Turkey. She works in close collaboration with public and private sector to establish policy dialogue and promote inclusive Bank investments for advancements in economic inclusion of women, young people and people living in underserved regions of Turkey.    

Before joining the Bank, she worked for several international organizations ranging from World Bank, FAO, UNICEF to UNFPA and contributed sustainable development agenda of international community on various issues including women’s empowerment, education for all, migration and humanitarian crisis response. 

She holds International Relations BA degree from Bilkent University and MSc degrees in Political Science and Public Administration from University of Cologne and Middle East Technical University.
