Mayor Elmazi was born on 31 March 1989 in Saraj. He is married and has five children. He completed his secondary education at Arseni Jovkov High School in Skopje and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the State University of Tetovo. His public service career began as a Member of the Saraj Municipal Council, a position he held from 2017 to 2021. From 2021 to 2024, he served as a Member of the City Council of Skopje, where he represented the residents of Dërveni. In 2024, he was appointed General Manager of NOMAGAS Energy JSC, a company operating in the field of natural gas transmission, and held this position until 2025. Following the local elections held on 19 October 2025, Muhamet Elmazi assumed office as Mayor of the Municipality of Saraj, with a focus on strengthening local governance and improving public service delivery.
