Nikola Đurašković

Nikola Đurašković was born on May 27, 1979, in Cetinje, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He graduated from the Belgrade Business School, majoring in Finance, Accounting and Banking, and completed specialist studies in Business Management. Throughout his career, he has undertaken extensive professional training in project management, EU funds, negotiation, lobbying, and has participated in numerous international trainings, conferences, and seminars across Montenegro and throughout Europe.

He began his professional path in the NGO sector as the founder and Executive Director of the Civic House NGO club in Cetinje. In 2006, he joined the administration of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje, serving as Spokesperson and Deputy Head of the Mayor’s Office, later becoming City Manager responsible for investments and development projects. From 2010, he served as Secretary of the Secretariat for Communal Affairs and Traffic.

He also gained experience in the private sector before returning to public administration as Assistant Director of the Directorate for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, and later holding positions within the Ministries of Economy and Economic Development.

Nikola Đurašković is a member and Vice President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and he served as a councilor in the Assembly of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje from 2013 to 2022. He was elected Mayor of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje on February 28, 2022.
