Bilall Kasami

Bilall Kasami was born on July 31, 1975 in Tetovo.

In 2000, he finished his studies in economics at the “Saint Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje. From 2000 to 2004, he worked in the Customs Administration of North Macedonia. In the same university, in 2011, he successfully completed his doctoral studies, earning the title of Doctor of Economic Sciences. In the period of 2005-2006, he held the position of state secretary in the Ministry of Economy of North Macedonia, from where, after the end of his mandate in 2006, he returned to the workplace in the Customs Administration, where he worked until 2008. From 2009 to 2014, he was a lecturer at the International Balkan University. From 2014, he temporarily withdrew from academic life to dedicate himself to politics. He returned to his academic career in 2017 as a lecturer at several universities in the Republic of Kosovo, where he continues to be a full professor at Dardania University. On November 22, 2014, with the establishment of the BESA Movement, he was elected as a president of the party, a position which he holds to this day. In the Parliamentary Elections of December 2016, he was elected MP of the Assembly of North Macedonia, a position he held until 2017.
