Dımıtrıs Kyrıakıdıs

Mayor Kyriakidis was born in 1978 in Kilkis. He studied Law at the School of Law and Economics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has been actively practicing law since 2002. He became active in the Local Government in 2010 and was elected a municipal councilor in the first Kallikratiko Kilkis Municipality. This was followed by his re-election in 2014 as a municipal councilor, first in preference crosses in the Kilkis Municipal Unit. In 2011 he represented the Municipality of Kilkis in the Regional Union of Municipalities of Central Macedonia, while from 2014 he was a member of the Supervisory Board of PEDCM. He has also been a member of the Quality of Life Committee of the Municipality of Kilkis. President of the Kilkis Municipal Council from March 2017 to January 2019, he resigned from his institutional office to devote himself fully to his candidacy for Mayor of Kilkis. He was elected Mayor of Kilkis in the Municipal Elections of the Municipality of Kilkis in June 2019. Since November 2019 he has been an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Union of Municipalities of Central Macedonia (PEDCM) and a member of its Disciplinary Council.
