Karditsa

Karditsa is a city located in the Thessaly region of Greece. The municipality of Kardica was established by the 2011 local government reform by merging five former municipalities. Karditsa is located in the middle of Thessaly and is located approximately north of Athens, the capital of Greece. The city is located far from the sea, as it is located in the interior of Greece. The city is famous for the natural beauties around it. Built at the foot of the Pindus Mountains, the city is surrounded by landscapes of surrounding mountains and lakes. Karditsa is also one of the administrative centers of the Thessaly region and, together with the surrounding towns and villages, is important as an economic and cultural center of this region. Agricultural activities are also frequent in the city, the farmland is often used for the cultivation of cotton, wheat and other grains.
