Kotor is a coastal town located in Bay of Kotor. It is the capital of Kotor Municipality with a population of 13.510. It is the 9th largest city in Montenegro by population. Kotor is one of the most important touristic places in Montenegro and a World Heritage site. History of Kotor dates back to Roman times it is also possible to see Byzantine and Venetian influence in the city. Venetian fortifications and the Old Town of Kotor is in UNESCO World Heritage List. Kotor is a founding member of the B40 Balkan Cities Network.
