Prizren
Prizren is a historical city located in the southwest of Kosovo and is known as one of the oldest cities in Kosovo. Prizren is famous for its historical, cultural and architectural wealth and is considered an important cultural center of Kosovo. Prizren is home to many historical monuments from the Middle Ages. The city has been under the rule of the Byzantine Empire, the Serbian Kingdom, the Ottoman Empire and various other civilizations. Therefore, historical churches, mosques, castles and other monuments are found in Prizren. Prizren is a city where different ethnic and religious groups live together. There are Serbian Orthodox churches, Ottoman-era mosques, Catholic churches and other religious buildings in the city. This diversity makes Prizren a culturally rich place. Prizren Castle, located in the center of the city, was built in the Middle Ages and is a symbolic symbol of Prizren. It is possible to see the panoramic view of the city by climbing to the top of the castle. Prizren is known for the Prizren Film Festival, which is held every summer. This festival is considered an important platform of Balkan cinema and showcases many local and international films.
