Predrag Puharić

Predrag Puharić (born 1977) is a Bosnian cybersecurity expert and politician currently serving as the 40th Mayor of Sarajevo since November 2024. He graduated from the University of Sarajevo, specializing in Criminalistics, Criminology, and Security Studies, and completed cybersecurity fellowships at Cranfield University and Purdue University. He also participated in the U.S. State Department’s IVLP program. With years of experience in the IT and cybersecurity sector, Puharić was nominated by the Social Democratic Party and appointed as mayor by the Sarajevo City Council on 29 November 2024. He is married and has one child.
