Mayor of Sofia


Vasil Terziev (born June 9, 1978) is a Bulgarian entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. He is known as the co-founder and CEO of Telerik, a global provider of software development and content management tools and solutions. Terziev is an investor in over 100 technology and innovation startups. Since its inception, the Telerik Academy has helped over 10,000 people to start working in the IT sector. He has played a key role in the development of the technology and innovation ecosystem in Bulgaria through his numerous initiatives and investments. In addition, he has helped attract investments in numerous businesses in Bulgaria. In May 2023, he stepped down from his position as a partner at Eleven Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund based in Bulgaria, to devote himself to community work.

Early years and education

He studied at the First English Language School in Sofia from 1992 to 1996. He was then a student at the American University in Bulgaria (AUB) in Blagoevgrad from 1996 to 2001, graduating with honors in Business Administration.

Personal Life:

He is an avid sports enthusiast and is active in basketball, football and tennis.
