Gueorgui Ivanov Dimitrov

Mayor Gueorgui Ivanov Dimitrov is serving as the Mayor of Karnobat Municipality since November 7, 2007. Prior to his role as Mayor, Gueorgui held the position of Chairman of the Municipal Council in Karnobat from November 14, 2003, to November 6, 2007. In this capacity, he summoned and led council meetings, coordinated standing committees, assisted advisers, and represented the council to external parties and organizations. Gueorgui also brings managerial experience from his time as a Manager at Optima Stock Exchange from 1995 to 1998, where he was responsible for the administration, management, and development of the company. In terms of education, Gueorgui completed his studies at the Academy of Public and Social Sciences in 1988, specializing in public and social sciences. He holds a qualification in Bulgarian Philology from “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo. He has excellent proficiency in English and Russian.
