Pjerin Ndreu
Pjerin Ndreu, Mayor of the Municipality of Lezhë, was born on 12 December 1966 in Pukë, Albania. He graduated from the Higher School of the Ministry of the Interior between 1988 and 1992 and later completed his higher education in law at the Faculty of Law in Tirana from 2003 to 2007. He has served as a Member of Parliament since 2013 and was a parliamentary candidate for the Lezhë constituency, representing the Socialist Party of Albania, in the 2017 Albanian parliamentary elections. With extensive experience in public security and law enforcement, Mr. Ndreu served as Director of the Tirana Police Department from 2003 to 2004, Deputy Director General of the State Police from 2002 to 2003, Director of the Shkodër Regional Police from 2001 to 2002, and Director of the Border Police from 2000 to 2001.
In addition, he has held various administrative and managerial positions within the police force since 1993. Alongside his professional career in public security, Mr. Ndreu has also been active in academia, serving as a lecturer at the Justiniani I Pare Faculty from 2006 to 2013. He held the position of Head of the Tirana Branch of the Socialist Party from 2011 to 2015. He has participated in numerous international training programs in public security and public administration, including the ICITAP program in Canada. As Mayor, he focuses on enhancing local government services, strengthening public order, and promoting social cohesion.
