As part of the preparations for the B40 Sofia Summit, an official visit was made to Sofia. Ahead of the Summit, scheduled to take place between February 23-25, 2025, B40 Permanent Secretary and Head of the Foreign Relations Department Barbaros Büyüksağnak, along with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Pelin Alpkökin, met with Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev and his team.
During the meeting, comprehensive discussions were held on the logistical details of the Summit, as well as its potential themes and subtopics. Conducted in a highly constructive and productive atmosphere, the meeting concluded with an agreement on concrete steps to further strengthen collaboration.
